Freshman punter Josh Growden

He's the only realistic option to replace Keehn. Gamble is not a punter and I've seen Domingue punt and it's not too pretty.
Has anyone seen him punt in practice? He's a lefty and that's always a nightmare for returners, see Ezekiel Elliot verse VT. Keehn's low hang time punts will lead to a return TD sooner or later.

The problem with Keehn is, you never know what you're going to get from him. A 30 yard dink or a 60 yard boomer. He is just as inconsistent as when he first became the starter.

I'd really like to see us make a switch. Besides the play calling in the 2nd half, I feel like P is the other area that we can see improvement at.

This times 100. He is due for one good punt a game, but the problem is he mixes in three awful ones.

I know they say that kickers work it out on themselves because it's not a technique thing, more of a mindset, but does that apply to punters as well?
I've seen a couple crappy punts this year, that have cost teams a chance at winning. Don't want that to happen against Bama.
Outside of Auburn, we really don't face a team that we should have trouble with until Bama, and Auburn may fall into that "little trouble" category as well. If Harris is eased into the game along with Guice and the defense improves bit by bit, we are 7-0 playoff contenders heading into Bama week.
For now, let him try to work it out.

No he didn't have his best game, so you guys are ready to demote last years 2nd team All SEC punter who averaged 44.9 YPP (the 3rd best in LSU history) and now a three year starter and has started in all four years. This makes total "rant" sense.

I've seen Josh punt in practice and he is gonna be good.
The problem with Aussie punters is their damn drop. A normal punter holds ball out like it is resting on a table and then drops it. This gives optimal mass to connect with hard bones of upper foot. Aussie punters drop the ball with the nose down, thereby reducing the size of the "sweet spot". When you can hit the sweet spot, it does result in a bomb.... But creates situation where you are less consistent
