Yep. I have gas stations a mile from my house. The closet grocery store is 10 miles away.

This scenario is similar to people I know who will drive 10 miles roundtrip out of their way to save $0.05/gallon on gas. Blows my mind

It's not that paying $0.30 for one item is a big deal. It's consistently paying this extra $0.30 on multiple items multiple days per week throughout the year. Where one trip to the grocery store will save you many multiples of $0.30.
