On the lightning...
"We wanted to start again, and start again, but weather didn't cooperate. It's a very quality rule for the safety of our kids. We were stopped."
On what the team did during the delay...
"First we did football. Told our guys we were a half hour away from playing, but then it happened again. Then we have to get them food because they're going to be here awhile."
On missing a game...
"Certainly we'd love at the end of the season to have an extra game. Lots of conjecture about that. But we look at it like we had an open date before our first game."
On BH going into a hostile environment...
"The good news is he's continued to mature and improve. Basically he has another week before he debuts his skills and talents. I want you to know I think you'll like our quarterback. He's as talented as there is. Has great speed and he can throw the football. Certainly, it'll be his second game. He played in the first game; it just didn't decide victory. But in this game, victory will be decided."
On Dak...
"A very calm, cool customer, runs with his eyes, understands his system well. Don't know if we can stop him, but hopefully contain him."
On record 10 SEC teams in AP poll this week...
"I agree with that. You line up in this conference, you better strap it up every time."

On College Football Live....
Did LSU need that game vs McNeese? Does it concern you?
Kanell: Very concerned. I was already bullish on LSU. An opportunity for live reps for Harris is missed. Some guys being replaced on defense. Its big to go on the road without that warmup.
Finebaum: They should have played the game in front of no one like the Orioles did. It affects them. Going to play in Starkville is tough. Then Auburn a week later. Look at Florida last year.
Kanell: I think they should have done everything possible to play. But You start to get into warming up and not playing, warming up again and not playing and there can be some injury concerns.
Finebaum- McNeese is only 2.5 hours away. Offer 'em more money and let the team sleep on the buses.

How much more upset would the fan base have been if they moved the game into the indoor practice facility with no fans able to watch?

Could still televise. I would have been much happier than with the current situation.

And your happiness is all that really matters. Never mind the safety of the actual players or anything.

There is no situation. We are in good shape. We will win at Miss St on talent alone. Then be ready for AU in 2 weekends.

Well he said Mcneese was 2-3 hours away. They are still getting paid their $.5 mil, tell them to sleep on the bus.

Don't know if it was possible, but I did wonder if they could have mimicked the Baltimore game, in a way, and moved the teams over to the IPF and played with just coaches, officials and the teams.
Posted on 9/8/15 at 2:59 pm to DeltaDoc
I havent been to the IPF but I dont imagine there is adequate room for both teams coordiantors and staff in a press box area to call down plays and etc.
