No. he had another situation where he got caught in his g'mas audi doing like 90. but he's 19. nothing a teenage boy should sit in jail 3 months for

How old is he? How did he get caught?

What did the lawyer argue? I would appeal that shite with a new lawyer.

If he were my son, I'd be more concerned about the fact that he has/uses weed than I would about the 3 months in jail.

I used to think they were fake until I visited Tybee Island a few times. We definitely could have just walked around asking there.

Should have gotten him a better lawyer

What city did this occur in? The south and bible belt are in the dinosaur days with weed legislation and the meteor is on its way.

Oh. It's illegal? I wasn't aware.
I'm saying it shouldn't be or should be treated exactly as alcohol is. I'm aware if you break the law you have consequences. Doesn't mean some are absolutely ridiculous and don't fit the crime.

Don't know if this is true and I honestly don't care. You're a huge reason why this site is awesome.
If it's true, then I think any rational human being would agree that this is not helping society in any way by incarcerating a person for a pretty harmless drug. Prayers sent and good luck man, I'm sorry for the shitty situation.
If it's not true, then goddamn you are a trashy murder fricker and I hope you stop having kids who pollute their bodies with this poison. I hope you die.

He didn't get a lawyer. I talked to him yesterday and he was thoroughly unconcerned. hes a good hard working kid. been doing iron work/ welding last year or two

So you believe, as society, we handle the sale/control of alcohol so well that we should compound the problem with weed?

Okay. Well, that was stupid.

Lesson learned, hide it better

Feel no sympathy for him.
Sorry for you, but you aren't his keeper any longer.

fricking swindlers, every one of them. Let the truth be your legal representation if you have nothing to hide.

14 grams is more than most people carry around for personal use.
Posted on 9/4/15 at 7:43 pm to Chef Leppard
That's pretty messed up. It's illegal and he shouldn't have been messing with it, but I thought possession of anything under an oz is a misdemeanor, at least here in La. Did they also give him intent? Has he been in trouble before? Seems like that 90 days would have been suspended unless the judge didn't like him for some reason.

After the first night I'm sure he won't be all that comfortable sitting.
