We're loaded at WR. We probably don't have one top 15 or 20 WR in the country, but we've got 3 top 50 WRs. Are we WRU?? Post your thoughts.
Travin Dural
Malachi Dupre
Trey Quinn
John Diarse
DJ Chark
Tyron Johnson

At least 2, I believe a third will emerge during the season. Either Quinn, Johnson, or Diarse. Whoever they go to more.

We don't even have three top 50 SEC receivers

FWIW nationally I dont think he is either. I think he's very good but not elite. We've had better WRs recently at LSU.

when you start talking about who's "the best", there's a lot of ways to spin it: the best stats, the best/most potential, etc. For LSU WRs, I think there's a ton of talent, but that talent hasn't really had a chance to shine yet. And I think the younger players (especially Dupre and Johnson) may be the most talented of the group.
You could look across the country and find some teams that have WR groups with better stats (last year). In that way, LSU may not have a top 10 or 15 WR going into this season. But there are some indications that the passing game may change a bit with Harris at QB. So, perhaps one or more WR will have a statistically top 10 type season this year. Regardless, I think possibly every one of the guys listed in your post has a chance to at least make it to an NFL camp, with or without strong stats (like James Wright).

Yeah, 3 out of the top 50, it really does not matter if we dont throw the ball to them on early downs, it very well could be the best ever at LSU. If we utilize that talent and we take advantage of those guys balls skills and big play ability, we will win 2 natty championships, back to back, if those guys get the ball it would it would take guys out of the box and allow Leonard Fournette to when the Heisman
Then every 1 of those WRs get drafted in the 1st or 2nd round, then we will be DBU and WRU.

If Harris plays well, there's no reason we shouldn't have a top 10 offense this year. We have threats everywhere! And a good O-line.

I think when the coaches made these comments they meant that it has been a long time since they had 5-6 guys that they felt good about putting out there. Hopefully that leads to more 3,4, and maybe 5 WR sets.
