I just want them to make good movies, this is happening less and less frequently in the superhero genre.

I also want them to stop spending large chunks to time "setting up" things for other movies. particularly in the big tentpole releases like Avengers 2 or Civil War next year. I'm not going to see Thor 3, spend that time actually developing your villain. I realize the shared universe concept requires some of this and that's fine, but when it starts detracting from the movie you're in it's a problem.

So you have a problem with what you perceive to be bad or mediocre superhero movies not necessarily superhero movies?

Fair point, but not Spielberg's point's or the question.

You want them to blow their wad on a few movies instead of expanding the universe to tell one big story that's cohesive from movie to movie?

Superhero movies and the shared universe are like TV right now. Each movie is building up to a final big bad boss and in the marvel universe, that's Thanos in Avengers Infinity War.
