While Hopadillo isn't some great IPA, it's definitely a serviceable. It beats the shite out of St. Arnold's Elissa (I haven't tried their new art car IPA), Roarh Sons and Real Ale's versions. I like it better than 8th Wonder's Hopston too.
Yes, recently Lone Pint, Brash and B-52 have come out with some really good stuff, but only one of those can be bought off the grocery shelves right now.

Endeavor is a good IPA and I drink it when given the opportunity. Brash is making a couple good IPAs and I drink those a lot. Hell even Hopston (and citra dry hopped Hopston) is a pretty good IPA. Lone Pints yellow rose, 667 neighbor of the beast and jabberwockys are all good IPAs that I drink often.
Karbach makes shitty IPAs and I don't buy them.

Like Frat said, this has been in the works for years (at least 4 that I know of).
It appears those only 42G conicals in the article. A 1BBl system is such a rough place to start.
Hopefully they can pull everything together and do well.
According to their fb page these guys just moved off of their stove top at the end of JULY!

Hell at least there is stuff to take photos of now. The last time I saw their space there was nothing but empty space.
And can I get a profile of Spotted Dog Brewhouse in the paper? I am closer to a brewery than those dudes based on the photos. I guess I would need to start telling people I want to open a brewery then I can get that kind of recognition.

That's Chappapeela Farms Brewery. Really looking forward to this opening.
Tom is a hell of a brewer and has a ton of experience.

You do know that water is modified in nearly every brewery right? Some breweries that do not have access to good water, use an RO system (Reverse Osmosis) which acts as a blank slate to add salts to get desired profile for desired style. Baton Rouge has excellent water for brewing that requires minimal additions depending on style.

You are speaking some truth with one of those breweries, for sure. I hope they know their shite about brewing and don't become another Abita/Tin Roof/Bayou Teche/basically any brewery other than Parish and Great Raft.
Too many breweries opening up with little knowledge of how to make great beer.

Ouch! So they are opening a nanobrewery then.
Everything i've read says that a production nanobrewery is the quickest way to close the business before it starts. 15 barrel systems are ideal.

I think Hop Delusion is a great DIPA... Rodeo Clown definitely falls short. Too malty.

HD was my favorite DIPA when i first had it 2-3 years ago. I had it this year and my opinion differs. I think it's just change in taste. I prefer a less malty IPA, as do most people, nowadays. It's still good, but nowhere near Goat territory.
