I agree. Kyrgious is the most talented physically, but he's a head case mentally. Coric, Zverev, and Rublev are the future of men's tennis. The fact that Kyrgious says he doesn't like tennis is pretty telling by itself.

Agassi hated tennis.

I've seen more of Kyrgios than Coric, but enough of both to get a general idea of what kind of game they'e working with. Coric is solid all around, but Kyrgios has *weapons*. The thing that's holding him back isn't that he's a headcase, but that he has no idea how to play points. Johny Mac was KILLING last night, but most of what he said as far as shot selection was completely on point. He would work Murray from corner to corner about three different times and instead of just moving in and putting away what would be easy volleys, he would try to finish the point off with some absurdly low percentage drop shot.

He's like an even more talented version of Jack Sock. He can be taught how to play points if he's coachable. That's an open questions.

I was very impressed with what I saw from Rublev, but I didn't see enough.

i've seen very little of Zverev.

Well, I don't want to get this thread too far off path, but it does bring up the interesting question of what ranking cutoff is worth the effort. 20-30 is obvious. I see Steve Johnson is at 47 ranking and $595k for the year. Even if he is blowing $100k in expenses, that's a decent pull. I just wonder how much these guys spend out of pocket for their coaches, travel, posse, etc.

If playing tennis is your job and you haven't cracked the top 200 in the past three years, your cable service has probably already been cut off.

Fish put up more of a fight than I would have expected.

And Goffin was pushed way farther than I would have expected.

Out at court 11 watching Bencic. She's looking good. In more than one way.

Anyone have experience going to this or buying tickets outside the arena? I know Wimbeldon you can get tickets from people as they leave but I doubt it's the same here. Want to go but don't want to spend $150 on a grounds pass.

And on that note when we would know what matches will be Friday before I spend a lot on tickets.

Late tomorrow afternoon. But it's going to be people who played today. I'd imagine Rafa and probably Serena at night.

Yep. Genie was the no. 1 junior in the world 3 years ago and I believe that Bencic was the no. 1 junior 2 years ago. She looks like she's going to be a star, as long as she doesn't get embarrassed in a Wimbledon final.

This guy, Chris Chase, is the worst writer on the planet. He makes Scoop Jackson look like Grantland Rice.

Why are day tickets so much more than night tickets?

Because you get to watch more and stay longer.

Are you getting grounds pass or Ashe?
