What's the problem with those things? Efficiency is a bad thing?

the P85D was the fastest car ever tested by Consumer Reports, reaching 60 mph from a standstill in just 3.5 seconds. (Slightly faster times of 3.2 seconds have also been recorded
Apparently they aren't testing many high performance cars.

Sure, less moving parts but a lot more complicated. Do you have any idea how much a battery swap would be?....Fracking outrageous.

Lets just call it "the switch" for now.

Also the batteries will become part of the fame of the car. New battery tech makes it possible to mold a battery in any shape needed and its light weight.

I was behind one again yesterday here in town. They sure look nice.
I know a budget model has been in the works for awhile. The model 3 is two years away according to Musk

I'm still waiting for that 44-year old neurosurgeon who got hit by a drunk driver in a Coca-Cola truck to walk into my office.

They are usually too ambitious with their expectations. They are going to fricking hemorrhage money if they try to do that.

Might want to look at the limited number of places that you can charge at locally and if you're planning on traveling in it first.
And exactly how far you can go before you have to start scrambling to find a place to charge it.

I believe the nav system in the Tesla's tells you where all approved charging stations are located.

I expect Tesla's company problems to cost them pretty significantly in the near/mid term, but in the end, I think they will have established an efficient, comprehensive grid of support for all electric vehicles, not just their own.
