I think that's fair. I'm not trying to flame or troll. I've just seen some people here have really really high expectations and it seems too much. I think some people think 6-6 but are in hiding until the first play.
If I tried to take off the purple and gold glasses, I think 8-4 is about right. Maybe 9-3. Unfortunately, our QB is one of two things... an "unknown"... or a "negative". Neither of those helps.

It wouldn't be the first time we've far exceeded our QB play, either.
10-2 in 2005
10-2 in 2007
9-3 in 2009

Eh... I'm trying to keep my expectations low on QB play. If they're good, it's a pleasant surprise. I don't think it's realistic to think Les or the QBs suddenly turn into positives on this team.
How low do your expectations have to be to predict we won't be better at the position than we were a year ago?

We better go 11-1 AT LEAST.

9-3 is realistic.
10 wins is the standard bearer for Les and it's his ceiling, also it's what he seems to define as successful so that should be optimistic.
8 wins was a huge letdown for most fans last year so that is the floor. Anything below that and Les should be fired. If it weren't for great recruiting we would probably have had 2 more 8 win seasons in the last 5 years.

Realistic is 9-3. Anything worse is negative and anything better is optimistic.
Because we're spoiled LSU fans, we will be disappointed in 9-3 even if it is realistic.
