If I had someone to work on it. Porsche

IMO the Porsche interior is garish. Console is dominated by two huge air vents and pointless grab handles.
I can't disagree with you.

No, sir.
Well I'm assuming at that price point that it's not a Turbo.

Probably not.
You can still sling 'em around a bit, even with the higher center of gravity.
You cant go crazy, but they'll still stick.

One is a dressed up Toyota the other is a dressed up VW. The German one is at least fun to drive. The soulless Japanese pile of shite will run forever but you might hate it and when that touch screen dies it will be $8k to replace.
As a long time Porsche fan and owner, if the porsche isn't a turbo then I would buy a Volvo XC90. It's a better car. Better power plant, better transmission, better interior. It will run forever. 2011 is a good year for the 3.2, insurance will be cheaper, and you can buy parts for it at the local Vatozone.

Lexus - like the overall look better

The 2016 XC90 seems to be a great car but the previous generation is just awful. I wouldn't pay a dollar for one, which is just about how cheap they are right about now.

Disagree. The S is nice and has plenty of acceleration. The GTS is downright fun to drive. It gets up and goes.
I agree about the Porsche interior. The one thing I don't like is that there is a button for everything and there are a ton of buttons. I prefer the interior of my Audi by far and like that many things are adjusted through software and the MMI interface.

the lexus will be cheaper to fix when needed. I would rather have the porsche, but if you are worried about repairs breaking you, then lexus.
Pretty much what it comes down to. I'm fine giving up some reliability for the Porsche - buying a fuel pump or alternator every couple years won't kill me - but if it's shite like $5,000 transfer cases going out I'll just hate myself.

Either neither or the Porsche.

porsche gets pussy. call it the pussywagon

The VW for the name, the Toyota for the reliability.

Out of those two the Porsche. Driving experience means a lot to me and the Porsche will be a lot more fun. The Germans are great at making a fun to drive vehicle.
Out of all the choices an Audi.
My wife just got a 2011 Audi Q5 with the four cylinder turbo. That thing is awesome to drive, has a nice interior (Porsche has a lot of buttons), and I don't have many concerns over long term reliability. I got the cpo warranty from Audi as well.
Toyota with makeup is to blah for my taste.
Volvo, aren't they owned by a Chinese company since 2010? I already give to much much money to the Chinese for underwhelming products, but I admit I have never ridden in any Volvo.

Just bought the wife a Cayenne S. Highly recommend it.

Aaah, a spin om the old Ford vs Chevy - overpriced Volkswagen vs. overpriced Toyota.
FWIW, your penis will grow 2" just by owning the Porsche.

I'd go with the Lexus.
The Cayenne could be horrible to own after 2 yrs. It'll be a 6yrs old Porsche with ~75K miles. Thats living life on the edge there.

Porsche looks better. But the Lexus will be more reliable.

I bought a 2004 Porsche Cayenne S in 2008. It had only 15k miles on it. I purchased an aftermarket warranty, but that wasn't worth a damn. Holy shite, that vehicle was expensive to own. Every time you have to bring it somewhere to get worked on, it will be a FORTUNE. You'd be better off leasing one and turning it back in at the end of the lease. Loved the vehicle, but will never ever get a used German Luxury vehicle again.
