Have a young cousin heading into senior yr high school. She is interested in PT/OT. I am 37 in medical field but have no idea what LSU offers. Should she start in kinesology or in pre-med / allied health program? Thanks

Well PT's receive their doctorate now but only douches would actually go by Dr. ...

OP, she should just do Kinesiology with the human movement concentration.

So a DPT? She really doesn't need LSU for that. Much cheaper options out there.

I'm sure the PT/OT departments have prerequisites

They probably have it all lined up

Check the pre-reqs for whatever program she's thinking about going into and have her take those. It probably doesn't really matter what her "major" is in undergrad.

Someone that holds a masters in physical therapy isn't a Dr.

Correct. But the OP's cousin would receive her DPT.

I clarified my original post bc I see how it was confusing.

She should ask an advisor at LSU instead of having her retarded cousin ask the fricking OT.
