Saying Coutinho isn't good is fricking heresy though.

I agree. Ozil's inconsistency is really annoying as an Arsenal fan, but his passing alone makes him more valuable than Cou, imo. He creates more chances than anyone in the league and he's very tidy in possession. He made about 98% of his passes yesterday

Excellent comparison.

You could throw him in with numerous overhyped brazilians but he cost like 8M fricking pounds.

He's been a hell of a buy and one of the stand out players in the league over the last 2 seasons. That much isn't debatable.

Does he have work to do? Hell yea. Is he on Hazard's level? Hell no.

But he's still a hell of a little player.

An in form Ozil, Coutinho can't do that.

WTF does that even mean? That's like some Sturridge is the best striker in the league when not injured, too bad he's always fricking injured. Or if Rooney wasn't so fat and lazy he'd be the best player in the league. Ozil's problem is he's always in and out of form.

And you obviously didn't watch 13/14 when we were scoring 100 goals in the EPL. Sure, it was nothing fluid like Celtic but who do you think was pulling those strings.

I'll give you a hint, it wasn't fricking Gerrard or Henderson.

Shelvey sometimes scores those. Doesn't make him good.
haha while I see what you are getting at this season he has played well and he actually is better than countinho.

a better example would be balotelli, he scored this

So Liverpool fans is balotelli good because he scores long range goals?

Did I say long range goals?

I said he scores important winners out of nothing. The implications of all of his long range winners have been huge.

Ozil hasn't done that to my knowledge.

Looking forward to Shelvey scoring a couple own goals for us this year again too. Can't wait.

Ozil did that in 13 less games coming off a world cup

He's 3 years older. I know he's a great player but if you think it's cut and dry, I disagree. Ozil cost 30 million pounds, Coutinho 8M. If you think Ozil is worth 20 million pounds more than Cou, you're having a frickin laugh.

Any reasonable Arsenal fan would admit his inconsistency is a serious problem. Just as I have admitted Coutinho's is.

But an inconsistent 26 year old vs 23 year old is a lot different.

Where are his winners?

Asking for real. I couldn't find any.

Do you think taking over a game is only reserved for those who score late goals?

I would say the idea that is inconsistent is a bit of a farce. He does a lot of things he does seem to get overlooked for some reason. Like the hilarious idea that he is lazy.

Difference is that 26 year old is a lot better than the 23 year old

Nope, waiting for you to cite some games.

Mythical "taking over games" is hard to pin down. Tons of players have done it.

Scoring a fricking belter out of your arse to single handedly win the game is a whole different animal.

Let's see how this season shakes out. Ozil will get injured soon enough anyway, so you can have your excuse.

haha Swansea and Liverpool always have the wackiest games. a couple years ago shelvey was responsible for all four goals in a 2-2 draw then he scored two more own goals when yall won 3-1 or something.

I hope he got that shite out his system.

But like what was said earlier I would rather have Ozil and Shelvey and many others because over him because of what they do for the other players around them and the team as a whole, not just pull a goal out his arse. Ozil helped Arsenal win this weekend in better way than coutinho did last weekend for yall.

It's also random, lucky and not at all indicative of how good of a game you had. Mesut Ozil dictates nearly every game he plays in. He controls the tempo and directs the attack for Arsenal and Germany. That is way more valuable than 2 fluke goals over the course of a season.

WTF does that mean?

Like I said, to each their own. They're both great players.

I take Coutinho based on injury record, age, price and ability to win games on his own.

But that's just like my opinion man.

Nearly? What happened for like 4 months in his first season at Arsenal?

And what the hell do you think Coutinho does? Do you even watch Liverpool?

The team 100% hinges on him. It's not like he stands around waiting to shoot from 50 yards out you muppet.

It must hurt being this stupid. Liverpool's attack functions like an old metal door that hasn't been greased in 20 years. If you're saying that Coutinho dictates that then you're really just arguing against your own point here.

Coutinho is a fine player but don't embarrass yourself here.

Did you watch 13/14 or did you just start watching the EPL last season?

Please tell me who was "running the show" there? I guess Suarez was also playing central and attacking mid that season too right?
