College Football Spring Game Changes

There were mutilple threads about doing away completely with in season games against FCS opponents. There were many great points on either side.
But what if in the spring instead of your typical spring game, all FBS teams played an FCS school. Not only does it help those schools, which for people in states like LA can mean a lot, as well as really gives fans something that they can look at and somewhat look forward to.
Yes I know there are a ton of issues like probably more injuries and I know somebody will say I do not want to pay $5 for that. But way more games would be televised so the money could be worth it.
I believe when everybody is dying for some football in the spring, and in lieu of off-season threads like this, I think you could get 70,000 people out to Tiger Stadium to see LSU play whomever. Just an idea, downvote away. But I thought in a way as conservative a forums as these are, it helps the little guy, while giving college football another chance to grow, and in the fall there are no FCS games, so nobody complains.

The point of spring ball is to get everyone a lot of minutes.
You can't do that playing another team.

So even treating it like an NFL preseason game, or allowing the coaches to control the clock, game situations, etc., it would not change your opinion?

You could have modified rules. Make it 6 quarters, with 2 halftimes and call them intermissions. Make a spectacle out of it like its the unoffical start of the new season.

Difference is is that the NFL has a straight playoff that goes by records not polls. A NFL team can go 0-4 and not get hurt at all In the process.
One college team looks better than another college team because of how they played their backups and it will affect the preseason polls which will affect the polls down the road.
I would be for it but only if college football was conference/divisional record driven and not opinion driven.
