Pre washed salad greens have 1000 times the bacterial count as salad greens you wash at home.

Preach... I came to post something similar. Those things are like lettuce colostomy bags!

I don't eat prewashed salad (a fresh head of romaine is great), but either people are just being internet dramatic or there are some very delicate constitutions among some of our fellow board members.

No doubt, that pre washed salad greens will keep you movin', fo sho!

If you eat that shite with no problemos, then ignoring expiration date on food and drinking the water south of the border will be an excellent move on your part.

Bah, that's a 2010 article. Surely the problem has been fixed by now.

(Coincidentally, I have a bag of pre-washed baby greens in the fridge I bought on Friday, the first such package I've bought in years. Ate some Saturday with no ill effects.)

Hate premixed salad bags, my wife still wastes 3 bucks on one every week. So she can eat one small bowl and then throw the rest out in three days.
