Knowing what I know now, I think it would be a mistake if you are really going for speed/time.

It adds mass, basically. Even though it's muscle, it's still mass.

I'd be interested to hear others, for sure.

The average person is not going to add a ton of mass from weight training. Definitely not enough to effect their running.

Don't you think weight training has a lot more health benefits than running?
