Analyzed my bets from last year. I did good across the board. Only small home favorites and large away dogs did me in.
Did good on large home favorites. Lots of people think those bets are square bets, and I agree that they are in general, you just need to pick the right ones.
Large home dogs are always a good bet, IMO.
Small = 0 to 6.5
Mid = 7 to 14
Large = 14.5+

Is it me or is WVU being an 18 point favorite over Georgia Southern seem like free money? No offense to the Mountaineers, but that offense is a dog to go against if you don't see it very often.

According to the Nugget this game has seen the most action out of any on the board.
WVU opened at -31 I think and its all the way down to -18
GSU was a good team last year and a covering machine for me.

Whats up Flatt. I stated earlier that I heard 2 months ago it opened at 17. I would love to take WKU but good laws is the value just gone. WKU had a great offense (not sure how many are returning besides the QB) but damn the D is abysmal.

First year was bad. 2nd year was pretty solid. 3rd year...I didn't participate much. Couldn't handle the TD hate

I feel ya, I switched careers and went from a desk job to an on site job and I literally have minimal computer time now. Trying to figure out how exactly this is going to work, lol. I'm working on making my spreadsheets more streamlined so the input methods take up less time.

I know we have thrown around the idea of a infamous bet thread regulars handicapping contest the last few years and had some interest.
I was thinking a flexible format to fit each posters betting style where you get 8 bet points to allocate between a minimum of 3 games and maximum of 8 each week. 5 points would be the maximum you could put on a single game.
I would keep track of the records and standings, can be simply for bragging rights of being deemed the King of the College Bet Thread.

That seems legit Maybe as it develops we could start with a small fee $20 or something like we was trying to do last year. But we can try that next year or year after if everyone agrees.
