To me this looks like kids playing Ghostbusters with Matel toys...

I would be more accepting of this if they weren't treating the original movies as if they never happened. What a disservice to GB fans.

The patients heard that the Ghostbusters were coming. Imagine their disappoint when THEY showed up.

Actually, they were disappointed because He-Man didn't show up.

I want to go halves on a bastard with Kristen Wiig

What a fricking PC move to make the cast all female. I will not watch this, and I am actively rooting against it just so people will stop trying to be PC about everything, and in the process ruining perfectly good things that do not need PC tinkering. Screw this remake.

As one who as a youngling was enthralled by the Ghostbusters, I would be livid, and honestly I would have cried. Not even kidding.

And no offense to Melissa McCarthy, but she is going to make the entire thing a joke. Apparently they didn't think there was any type of drama or seriousness to the original movies. There were the occasional comedic moments, but it had a lot of legitimate paranormal discussion. Melissa McCarthy just simply cannot have a single serious moment from my perspective.

Ernie Hudson didn't age well.

WHO frickING CARES
it's a movie about zapping ghosts and goblins with lasers. Make it a lego movie, or use wheel-chair bound actors. What does it matter

Obviously you arent a Ghostbusters fan. Why even comment?

I am a huge fan, whatever that means (or at least I loved the movies as a kid and still watch them)
so I'll comment as I see fit
people act as if they'll see this movie and nothing will ever be the same again. It'll be 2 hours of your life, you'll like it or you won't, then life will continue as always. Not a big fricking deal

I've worked in the private sector, they expect results.

I think everyone is keeping it in perspective fwiw. No one ever said it was that big of a deal in reality.

Just like Indy 4, the creators and actors don't seem to understand why the original worked. And i fear that this movie will have the same result.

All these terrible atrocities by white men who made significant contributions to pop culture must be scrubbed over so everyone gets a trophy.

It's not so much them being women as it is the women who were cast.
