I don't know how Disney can get much darker than this
That's overt evil. It's pretty terrible, but, if you listen to the lyrics in Hellfire it's about a much more powerful form of evil. It's about twisting belief in morality (God honestly, but it doesn't have to be viewed as such), of what is supposed to be a pious man, into a willful determination to commit an evil act to be viewed as redeemed.
Hellfire is about belief, faith and pride, not just disliking someone else. It's a song that actually grapples with the core of right and wrong and how those things can twist together when we don't understand.
It's an awesome song. And it is also a prayer, technically, that's the way its structured. That makes it all the more powerful.

The Ratigan song isn't dark so much as it is awesome. Vincent Price is a god.

Fantasia probably shouldn't count, especially since the song isn't an original by any means, but Night on Bald Mountain haunted me as a kid.

When She Loved Me
Not dark at all, just incredibly sad. And another amazing moment in Pixar's filmography.
Also, there's a fan theory which says that Emily grew up to become Andy's mother.

I always loved Be Prepared and how dark it was. shite was Nazi-like at times.
Goosestepping hyenas can give that vibe.

But we're not coming home 'til he's dead. Good and dead! Kill the Beast!

Hellfire, Savages, & The Mob Song ("Kill the Beast") are my favorites.
Friends on the Other Side is a good one too.

Heaven's Light/Hellfire is the greatest Disney score in my opinion. I also think it's the darkest, with Savages from Pocahontas also up for consideration.

What are some of your favorites? I think the darkest of the dark is Hellfire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Hellfire
Yeah, that song is dark. Imagine if they'd kept the original ending to the Hunchback of Notre Dame. That would have ruined some childhoods.
