Norwich is an awful situation for Sargent. I’m a bit nervous for Busio going to what is likely to be a relegation battle in Italy. I’ve been pleasantly surprised to see Busio getting as many early starts as he has but that’s also a difficult landing spot for a young player. He seems to be one of the team’s early bright spots though.

I seriously don't think Sargent gets called in next window if Gregg only takes three strikers again.
Pepi, Zardes and Pefok are ahead of him in terms of club performance right now, and if Gregg views Hoppe as a striker (which he should) then I'd put him ahead of Sargent too.

Busio is a good young player so I have hope for him. This board is notoriously shitty at evaluating center mids.

Busio was playing left sided defensive mid field in Venezia's last game with a partner on the right side. This position may suit him well in the future.
I think his defensive upside for a national team player is good/adequate, but will never be great. He is small and has good, but not great athleticism. That being said, he should be able to shine in linking the defense to the attack because of his passing ability, ability to turn and dribble with the ball, and hopefully an ability to control the game from the midfield. I could see him partnering with a more athletic and defensive minded midfielder if he progresses enough to win a starting spot.

Isn’t it Musah that plays for Valencia?

If Reyna and pulisic are both out for this window I think berhalter brings him in with the belief Sargent can also give you minutes on the wing. I’m not interested in seeing it again atm

I think/hope Gregg rates Aaronson, Konrad, Gioachinni, Weah, Hoppe, Arriola and maybe even Musah on the wing over Sargent.

Sorry, my mental error. Busio plays for Venezia in Italy, not Valencia in Spain.

Busio is starting and playing well against Milan. Game tied at nil at the half.
Hoppe starting against Madrid set to go in 15 minutes.

Hoppe looks very good on the ball. He is linking play and assists on Mallorcas first goal.

Hoppe looks like a giant on the field.

Hasn’t posted in two weeks, he’s kind of an odd guy but does an incredible job of keeping up with American players

Miazga starting and playing well for Alaves. They are up 1 to 0 at the 75th minute versus Athletico Madrid.
Richards starting for Hoffenheim against Brooks and Wolfsburg.
Musah starting for Valencia.
Sargent starting for Norwich.
