The airport is not far from downtown - less than 15 minute drive. The Oregon Brewers fest is going on right now. It's right on the river downtown, and the weather is 75 degrees and a little overcast, so it's very comfortable.
There are lots of hotels in the area - I would stay in the Pearl District, and then you won't need a car. McMenamin's Crystal Hotel is right in the middle of the Pearl District and although I've never stayed there, I am recommending it only based on it's location. It is a historical hotel, and McMenamin's does try to keep historical details, so make sure that your room has a private bath, if that's important to you. If you don't stay there, you can use it as a barometer for location. Stay someplace close by.
There are a shitload of restaurants within walking distance. Choose based on your preference. If you let me know what you like, I may be able to steer you to something specific.
Deschutes, 10 Barrel, and Fat Head's all have brewpubs all within 3 blocks of each other, and right by the Crystal Hotel. They all have really good upscale bar food.
I've been wanting to try Olympia Provisions, but haven't had the chance. You could try it and give me a review...

ETA: If you want to stay out by the airport, there are a lot of chains right there. Breakside Brewery would be a good place to eat. The Beast is not far from the airport if you want to really do it up.
If you can drop your car off tonight, you can take the train from downtown right to the airport. The Maxx Red Line will take you right there.

Nothing fancy but Abita Strawgator. Saw pints were being sold at the grocery store while getting lunch on my lunch break and said "Well now... Don't mind if I do!"
