I was a kicker at a D1 school and maxed at 325 at my heaviest power clean. At that age in that program, you will hit the numbers if you do the work and have the right build. Regardless, it's a good clean for his size.

Right now I'm 220 and power clean 285 which is pretty good at 37.

Lol....well go ahead and get crazy over a 20 year old power athlete power cleaning 315. All of their training is specifically designed to generate explosion in intervals.....

I will.....I actually lift and I'm not going to depreciate the fact that it's an impressive feat for a man his size. Most of yall still don't understand the difference between a clean and a power clean anyways.

I know that he's an O-lineman, but I saw a video clip on facebook last week of Edwin Alexander pushing 400 lbs with ease on the bench. I know one of the coaches @ STA.

Power clean is what he did, just a slight dip of the knees. Clean is catching the bar at a full squat and standing up.

Not taking anything away from the kid, but to expect anything different from a guy that's been in a major D1 program for three years now is pretty crazy. Good on him for putting in the work and getting after it.

I agree with you. He has outstanding ball recognition and makes really hard tackles. I am wondering why he wasn't on the field more last year to be honest. We have 3 very good safeties. Definitely a position of strength.

Yes I get excited about seeing grown men do incredible things in the weight room; it is hard work. I work out 3-4 times a week, and my small gains after months make me feel special....One thing I do know, it doesn't just happen by typing it on the internet saying that you can actually do it.

You keep laughing because a thirty pound db is heavy to you.

It really isn't that big of a deal for a football player with several years of collegiate experience.

But nice try putting someone else down, weakling.

It's all about frame of reference. In the type of environment Ricky is in, at his age, with his build at 20 years old, working with a top notch strength and conditioning program, it's a good clean.

Now, if he was in his late 20's/early 30's in some random crossfit gym, after being out of football for some time, working full time, very impressive.

But, I was a "shitty d1 kicker".....take it for what it's worth.

Just in your experience from college ball, would a Junior DB typically be able to clean 315 lbs?

Seems like a really good number for a man of that size. Maybe not a "wow" number, but that's some serious strength.

I don't think anyone is trying to be an Internet tough guy. I just think most people assumed elite college athletes that have been in an elite program for 3 years would have higher maxes. Maybe thats not even Jeffersons max. Maybe it was the third rep of his last set. Who knows.

Except it is Cptdumbass. Rickey would be one of the strongest DBs in the entire combine. Here they are talking about the top LINEBACKER at 350lbs

No 204 is not heavy to me.......I'm 6'0" 222lbs but I'm also not full of shite like you guys on here.

Secondly, you couldn't even lift with me so quit trying to be something you are not which is tough.

From being in the LSU weight room as an athlete for 4 years, 315 would have him as one of the top DBs in the entire nation. Do not listen to the kicker, the cajun, or the Cpt in this thread

What's your clean max, usetheforce?

Also, I haven't talked down to anyone. Io stated an opinion that I've softened on over the length of this thread but I still feel like most college guys can clean a lot more then this. Not sure why feelings are getting hurt
