real recognize real
An idiom of hip hop culture used to refer to the tendency or ability for real individuals to identify, connect with, or otherwise respect, other real individuals. The usage of real is identical to that in the more generic phrase keepin' it real, i.e. genuine, true.

The first time they went into the apartment is when they entered a dwelling without authorization. The roomie was coming back from class, walked into his apartmenf, closed the door and walked in. Then he heard the door open and turned and saw Jennings, DT, and Bain walk in. This is where they searched the roomies room, saw he didn't have any of the items, and told the roomie if Jennings didn't have his stuff back by 2:00 something was gonna happen.
Those are some serious thug shenanigans right there. He has no business being openly invited by the head coach to compete for the starting QB position at LSU, at least until he has already served a suspension of multiple games. The crap Miles pulled in the media today is really embarrassing to the institution IMO.

I hope it comes swiftly & mightily in your direction.

Since you obviously don't think those are thug shenanigans, do you want to give me your address so me and two other dudes can help ourselves into your crib, search through your shite, and make threats? How would you view anyone who did that to you?

Immature & irrational would be how I would describe the situation being that Jennings had items stolen from him initially.
Did I steal something from you initially? Nope, so the situation wouldn't be the same. I could give you my address but when you show up, the ban hammer would be the least of your worries.

By all accounts, the roommate had nothing to do with the alleged theft of Jennings property. But he still had to deal with thugs helping themselves into his home, conducting searches, and telling him to "Produce X by 2PM or else." They are very lucky they did not get shot.

Was Jennings property found in his apartment? He could and should have been charged with possession of stolen property regardless of which room of the apartment it was found in.
Jennings used poor judgement in light of his high profile but this is the brave new world of for profit law enforcement. Police won't lift a finger without a motive of profit or publicity. Your decision to knight for the thief tells your story plain as day.

If you've ever had a roommate, did you feel responsible for every single thing they had in their room?

I've posted bond on a felony marijuana charge for what they had in their room.

Somehow, that's not surprising.
When you say "posted bond", do you mean that you posted bond for your roommate, or that you were charged?

I was charged even though I wasn't even present for the search, the lease was in my name. We both eventually pled to simple possession (Memphis, 1995). You are responsible for every single item in your home.

Yea, but usually only when it comes to felony quantities of drugs. And that doesn't make it right.

I never said that, but the probable outcome for the defendant at trial is kind of what serves as the basis for plea deals.
You would think someone with a J.D. would know that Articles 893 and 894 of the Louisiana Code of Criminal Procedure is what serves as the basis for plea deals...

bro, this is TigerDroppings...are you expecting some sort of higher function of grammar and etiquette? Seriously?

But as I said, even if that's exactly how it went down, it's still a huge infraction and he shouldn't be welcomed to compete for the opening QB job so soon and with the charges still pending.
pump the brakes dude...it was a dumb decision made by college kids...it's not like he punched a woman (see former Fla.State QB bar video from a week ago) and he didn't kick a man while he was down, allegedly (JJ at Shady's a la 2011) [too soon?]
point is, they broke in to right a wrong but went about it in the incredibly wrong way...relax and go away. don't follow this team or our Coach with your negativity. what was the last bad decision you made, bro?
