"The most expensive menu item is a 10 ounce Japanese wagyu striploin for $175" Wow!!

I'm going this weekend. That's great news.

Sounds awesome!
I've never been to anything on that list. I wanted to go to the Prime House while I was in Chicago, but we ended up at the Chicago Chop House instead. That was easily the best meal of my life.

Spent more at the Chop House than Doris, but it all depends on what you get. I can't justify the price of wagyu.

Call me an idiot(which I am sure yall will ), but I have honestly never heard of this restaurant. I did leave NOLA in 2014 but still. Is it just me or does this restaurant not get alot of buzz compared to others in the city?
ETA: And holy shite, it is $48 for an 8oz filet? That is outrageous

It's newer and in the quarter.
I think Desi Vegas, Chop house and Mr. Johns are still preferred by locals.

Doris gets a good bit of pub on the FDB for a steakhouse...but we really don't talk about Steakhouses that much on there since everyone has already mastered the Reverse Sear.

Prime House while I was in Chicago
Just returned from Chicago and went to Primehouse. I got the 55 day aged ribeye and was disappointed. I had high expectations and was looking forward to the meal. Ambience was so/so, lots of noise from the bar and people in shorts and backwards caps. The wife got the lambchops and they were great, but my Ribeye was nothing special. We always try to sample steakhouses in large cities, and I put this one near the bottom. It was not a bad steak, but not much better than what I can do in my backyard. Was disappointed to say the least.

I eaten at Doris at least 4 times and didn't find that I spent any more than anywhere else in New Orleans.
Love that friggin beat doohickey they serve.
