*Apologies if already posted*

BR native JJ Tabor won the 2015 the Wharf's Blue Marlin Grand Championship by boating a 700+ lb Marlin in his 37 Freeman. The average boat in the contest was 20 feet longer than his boat. His marlin was nearly 300 lbs larger than the next closet competitor.

Unreal. He won $266K for his efforts. He has to be considered one of the preeminent fisherman in the Northern Gulf...maybe the preeminent competitive fisherman.

Didn't know who he is, or that he was from here, but saw Freeman posted this pic yesterday. He definitely had the smallest expenses by a long shot.

Isn't he the guy that was so good at catching Wahoo that a Mississippi tournament tried to keep him out or make him enter a billfish first?
Awesome that he's winning at Marlin now.

This is great! I trained in the same hospital and at the same time as JJ (I did internal medicine, he did general surgery). Well done bro!
