Former Catholic High star and LSU freshman running back Derrius Guice is “OK” after being hospitalized on Wednesday night, coach Les Miles said Thursday.

Guice, ranked as high as the No. 2 running back in the 2015 class, has been released from the hospital after doctors ran test on him, Miles said. Catholic High coach Dale Weiner said he was told by LSU officials that Guice suffered “severe dehydration” but is now doing “well.”

Guice lost consciousness Wednesday and was transported from LSU’s football practice facility to a hospital. He was not working out when he lost consciousness, Guice posted on Twitter on Wednesday night.

Miles said he visited Guice in the training room just before the incident.

“It would be impossible for me to suggest (what happened),” the coach said at SEC media days. “Everything I hear is he’s OK. It’s just a … they have to do tests. I don’t know if it’s fatigue, blood work, low blood pressure. No idea. I can only tell you that it’s a concern we needed to back him off and get him relaxed.”

Well it sounds like he's going to be okay. Just make him drink some water and he'll be ready to play some football

Good, maybe he will realize he needs to drink powerade and water and stay as hydrated as possible. When you are pissing dark yellow, its not good.

Somebody won't be told the scoop next time.

This is great news. Nothing against D. Williams, but I expect Guice will be considered the #2 RB. On paper, Fournette and Guice could be the best "1/2 punch" in CFB this year. Fournette, Guice, Williams, Brossette, Ducre. SHHHHIIIT.
