Any suggestions? Looking to get a root canal and I want the best, safest and most affordable care.

Try the LSU dental school. You will pay about half of what you would pay for any endodontist in town. Also, you will need a crown after your root canal which are pretty expensive as well.
I did the dental school route for my root canal a few years back and paid $600 including crown.
