re: Why do you think that we traded Kenny Stills?

Because he looked better in a dress than Ricky Williams.

Pretty sure he was part of the Red Eye crew, and I also read they were worried about his influence on some other players, namely Vaccaro. None of this is verified of course.

I really liked him and thought it was cool that we had a flamboyant homosexual on our team, to be honest.

Locker room or off field issues.
CSP is hard on WR's expects a lot of them and its hard to see the field under him.
With the skills kenny was showing and all the work the Saints and he were putting in it would have to be something we don't know about that got him shown the door..

I know I've seen it and it's an old story. I've just never asked. But what's the red eye crew? What happened at red eye with them?

Kenny Vaccaro and Kenny Stills were the ones who got in trouble. Raphael Bush and others were there regularly as well.

They picked up white girls and took them home and Kenny Vaccaro hooked up with them while Stills primped his hair in the other room.

Stills was one of my favorite players on the team the past two years. I still am a little upset about the trade.
Conspiracy Theory 1: Was a trouble maker and locker room problem.
Conspiracy Theory 2: Is a homosexual and CSP knew he was about to come out and have the Michael Sam treatment at the Saint's facility so he traded him so he didn't have to deal with it. And Miami needed the goodwill after the Jonathan Martin situation.
Conspiracy Theory 3: He was outperforming his contract and we would likely be in a position to have to renegotiate next year and wouldn't have the cap space and wouldn't have the bargaining power in a trade we had this year.
Conspiracy Theory 4: CSP wants this to be a running team, so he took all of Drew's toys away.
Conspiracy Theory 5: oncelurker touches himself at night.

Locker room stuff possibly. I think more it was a front office philosophical change. Sumpin like "Goddammit I'm tired of no defense."
I liked his production but think Ellerbe and PJ Williams provides more of what the team needs to win.
I love the upside to Ellerbe (and cheap too). He wasn't used effectively in Miami and was plagued with injury. Prior to that the Ravens wanted him to replace Ray Lewis but refused to overpay like the Fins did to get him (5yr/$35mil).

What does my personal life have to do with Kenny??!!

Yeah why would anyone want a young receiver with good speed, hands, and route running?

Stills wasn't a factor until Cooks got hurt.
He is a one-trick pony as a deep threat. Brees has proven to make WRs look better than they actually are.
Stills was obviously solid for us last year but was thrilled when we got a 3rd rounder in return. I would've guessed 5th round or worse for Stills.
Plus the locker room rumors and such...

Yeah it's probably too harsh of a description considering we didn't have another vertical WR on the roster last year and we needed him for that.
Curious to see how the Dolphins utilize him next year...

Well that isn't true. Also, he wasn't a factor early in the season because he was also hurt

Heard he's a party animal. Not much you can do for a guy who shows up for a noon game and did not get a blink of sleep that Saturday night. Brees knew. CSP knows. The team knew and that shite can not be tolerated. That is why we got rid of Stills. He is a good player no doubt, but staying out and up all night the day before a game is a pretty good reason for the Saints to move on. I would not say he is a trouble maker just has some growing up to do.

Had fourth-highest catch rate (78.8 percent) among WRs last season.
Stills' career 82% catch% on balls thrown to him behind LOS + 0-20 yd range is best in the NFL since at least 2007

Kenny Still was drafted in the 5th round, we turned him in to a 3rd round draft pick as well as a LB if stays healthy would be a complete steal.Best trade of the off season for us by far.
Yes Kenny was productive and we all enjoyed what he could bring to us on the field. At the end of the day we have Drew Brees and he makes these receivers successful to think otherwise is foolish. We have overhauled our offense and it was much needed. Focusing on protecting Drew, the run, PA and just who the hell we gonna throw it to aspect that made us so successful. We will be fine.

We'll forget about Kenny Stills several games into the season.
