Fed is the GOAT because he didn't have to face Nadal, Murray, or Djoko this tourney? Look at his majors resume and it's filled with no names, career journeyman, old arse Agasi, and coulda been a contenda, Roddick. He's got 7 wins against Nadal, Djoko, and Murray in majors. Today, he beats on Cilic and we really think that drives the point home even further?
Dude is awesome and a marvel at 35 years old but I have a hard time calling him the GOAT when you look at his resume compared to others. And the H2H with Nadal can't be ignored. Nadal's injuries really skew the amount of majors he could have in other majors as well, but it's part of it so not sure to call him GOAT either, but he, Djoko and Murray are playing in a era where their wins are against top notch competition. Laver is a great choice. I was hoping Djoko was going to continue his 2011 and 2015 type campaigns and he'd have passed Roger in a few years, but now who knows.

I don't know where you came up with 7 wins in Majors, but that number is 14 wins in Majors against those guys. Doesn't matter that it wasn't in the Final. His semifinal streak will never be touched.
It's really crazy to me that you can even try and argue he isn't best ever. He's 4 Majors ahead of the next guy.

So Fed is not as good because these guys couldn't even make the final? WTF kind of sense does that make?
