it's called "statistics" ...

and it is usually correct ... 92 % of the time, anyways ...

Living here, even without seeing this poll, I would of told you Comic-Con is way more important then the Chargers. Out of all of the places that I've lived, San Diego easily has the largest group of bandwagon fans, out of any sport. If they fail to start the season 3-1 or better, 75% of the fan base disappears and the blackouts start rolling.

Comic-con, on the other hand, is hyped for weeks in advance. The city is already planning on spending a ridiculous amount of money to expand the convention center to keep Comic-Con happy (less then it would take to build a new stadium, or even refurbish the dump that is Qualcomm, mind you). While not as large, Comic-con takes over San Diego the way Mardi Gras takes over New Orleans.





TLDR: Chargers fans are terrible, no surprise San Diego is showing the team the door
