you using non-ethanol gas?
my stihl chain saw has never failed me in four years. I run the gas out of it everytime I use it. it sits for weeks and always cranks easily.

It's all I use. Luckily the station by my house is ethanol free.

Stout, I've had the same problems, and we use ours daily as well with the rental properties. Every year or so, replace or rebuild it.
It was the ethanol tearing it up.
Non ethanol or sta-bil and never had a problem again
