When has Miles ever given a single back the requisite amount of touches to make a heisman a reality?
You guys sure have some short memories.
Hill, Ware, and Ridley all were given feature back touches. They all managed to miss games or bench themselves, that doesn't reflect on Miles preference for a committee. If anything, Miles likes to ride his most capable back and the RB-by-committee label thrown around is a myth.

except the times where a back is dominating only never to see the field again?
Or when LF cant get in the game because they werent running those plays?

I know you're prettymuch incapable of having an adult conversation, but Ridley lost costly fumbles that got him benched at LSU, just like it has in the league. The other two backs missed games due to suspension, but led the team in carries either before or after. I know, facts suck.

When's the last time Les sent a true sophomore to SEC Media Days?

JJ was never benched for such failure.

You are a miserable prick. That's because JJ's alternative had a much higher rate than of turning the ball over. JJ actually protected the football well for most of his career.

so explain what happened to hill in the fourth quarter of a bowl game.

Mett had 2 easy passes to finish that game off and failed. That's a failure of execution, not coaching.
I agree he should have touched the ball though. He was in full beast mode.

When has LSu ever dialed up the hype machine under Miles?
You mean like LSU dialed the machine up under Nick, or DiNardo, or Curly, or Archer, or Bill, etc?
LSU has never done that in the way other programs have...ever.
The occasional shitty poster for Hodson or Hilliard notwithstanding, LSU has simply never gone the PR route.
But yeah...frick Miles!
That being said...there's just no way Miles is going to run Fournette into the ground enough to win the Heisman. If Melvin Gordon couldn't win the Heisman last year with nearly 2600 yards, a total that just can;t happen in a multi-back offense, there's no way Fournette will.
I can;t wait to see the kid run, and he's unbelievable...but if winning the Hesiman is what someone needs to enjoy this kid at LSU I fear they will be unfulfilled.

His alternative has the LSU record for attempts without an interception

you are correct Mett should have had him in the game and he should have been calling running plays.
when will LSU players learn about this thing called execution?

And the record for most interceptions in a season. He threw 6 passes against Alabama and 2 of them were intercepted. It's ancient history and has nothing to do with the topic.

HOLY shite!
A thread about LF being hyped has turned into a circle jerk of the usual dumbasses arguing about JJ vs JL.
Not surprising, but still kind of sad really.

quote:The focus will unfortunately, as it has been, on Miles and his foibles and quirkiness, instead of a power football team that destroys it's opponents.
Fournette will be all over the nation's television sets and will be on Heisman watch from game 1.
When has LSu ever dialed up the hype machine under Miles?

Have you ever said anything positive about LSU, it's coaches, or it's players? Serious question.
