There is a crime double standard in our country. Women can get away with a lot of shite that men can't.
Women have it so much easier. for example if you are a woman and can't pay for your kid you get tons of money/foodstamps/housing/cellphone etc from the government, if you are a man that can't pay for your kid you go to jail.

Check out e law firm facade? Pretty ornate. And 3 offices, too.
Yea I looked that up. Simple websites that look slick like that are cheap these days. The cheap arse trademark gives it away though. She's all hat no cattle as they say.
It's true about disbarment and money. A lawyer can get caught naked in a crack house smoking meth and banging a goat and be back at work in a month. Touch someone's money though - you gone.

You can definitely have a good shot of getting away with fraud with greek organizations if you are doing smaller amounts. With students rotating in and out as treasurer every year, sorority "decorating" budgets and other things, you can easily embezzle money without drawing attention.
That's ignoring the more obvious nepotism way of making money. SO's sorority chapter advisor hired her sister, an interior designer, to decorate their chapter room.
She did a good job and everything but she charged a steeper than expected commission and didn't have competition for the job

I was a member at a local country club for years (BR). Every time a new board president gets in there his wife ends up redoing a room in the clubhouse. One local interior designer gets PAID.
I haven't been there in several years but I doubt anything has changed.
It's obscene how much money gets pissed away.

That's definitely her. She's an experienced fraudster.

makes you realize how much these sorities are rollin in the doe.
And why don't they notice they have no furniture? Too busy partying and just crashing out in the lawn?

I'd guess that the sorority members (who would actually see the furniture) don't have access to financial records to know when these are paid. The foundation board (per their website) is made up exclusively of chapter alumni, most of whom visit the house infrequently, if at all.
I don't know know exactly how this foundation is organized, but as someone who spent a lot of time in forensic accounting, I can tell you that close knit organizations like this generally have few, if any, controls in place.
