It looks like she was already almost disbarred in Tennessee for submitting a false resume and some other stuff. She's getting disbarred.

What's her addiction...? Gambling, shoes, purses...
No one steals that kind of money without an addiction...

Federal crimes aren't usually handled by the local PD.

I bet the Pendleton Historical Society is auditing the hell outta their books right about now.

She's done. I'm sure that she will love prison life.
I'm sure prison will have experiences similar to her sorority initiation.

Why do you think this? I have a coworker who is on the housing board who said that this woman couldn't get a job out of law school so she had to start her own law firm that has been a complete failure.. (Most likely what led to this event)
This. The legal market is so soft for young lawyers that marginal performers are getting pushed out. Some find non-legal careers. Some open up solo shops and starve/fight for scraps. Some just resort to fraud to survive. These are not good times for young law grads with no book of business.
She was a sorostitute and was in Junior League. She had a lifestyle she had to maintain. And $300k from her sorority helped do it. Guarantee you she was driving some kind of BMW sports at this whole time.

Thug POS.
ETA:
No, she's going to be disbarred for sure. The bar doesn't care about morality or whether or not you're a POS, but whit it comes to anything involving dishonesty and money, you're gone. Even Louisiana would disbar her.

One semester at LSU I correctly guessed the Excel password of our frat's treasurer and I was tempted to adjust my dues to show they had been paid. His password was his hometown that he literally ALWAYS talked about.
I did the right thing and told him, and I think it helped to cement our friendship

She will never see a day in prison.
She will have to do some things to make up for it and loads of community service and teaching some classes but as far as jail time, nah, that won't happen
If she still has every penny there is a tiny chance she may not get any but I would bet she does time for sure. She has been charged with multiple federal felonies, she is fricked.

guy I know stole 100k from the school district he worked for, was able to pay back what they could prove he stole and never spend a day in jail
don't even think he went to court just plead to some misdemeanor and went on about his life

Stupid thug bitch. Hope she ends up in a real prison.

The Bars of most state have recognized the problems associated with an excess of lawyers. They attempt to resolve it by grading Bar exams more harshly, and ramping up the disciplinary proceedings. Any crime involving dishonesty and theft reflects poorly on a lawyer's ability to practice, and thus, this chick is very likely to get defrocked.

She might get defrocked but nothing else - probation maybe. There is a crime double standard in our country. Women can get away with a lot of shite that men can't.
Bruce Jenner would go to jail if he did this. Caitlyn wouldn't.

The paying it back part is huge but in this chicks situation she has the postal inspectors and secret service on her arse as well as local LE. She won't get a ton of time but I would guess she will do about 2 years if no prior offenses.

Vance said Meehan could face a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
Hopefully she has to do at least half of that.
