MLE = 5.305M w/ 67.1 cap

Equivalents projected:
7.037M w/ 89M cap 2016/2017
8.538M w/ 108M cap 2017/2018
7.906M w/ 100M cap 2018/2019
8.064M w/ 102M cap 2019/2020
8.459M w/ 107M cap 2020/2021

5.305+7.037+8.538+7.906 = $28.786M. It was also reported that the cap may be $2M higher than expected next year. My equivalents also assumed that the MLE had the same relative value this year as last year, even with a higher cap (I used next year's cap as baseline). So, he basically got equivalentMLE+500k for four years. It may be a slight overpay, but isn't as egregious as people are acting.

I was answering your question about how many 3 and D SF's there were in the NBA, it was just a coincidence that it was the same number as Aminu's deal. I actually didn't do it on purpose

I personally do not think Aminu is worth the MLE. Maybe half of it, so even where the cap is going, I would have given him 4/18-20 max.

I would rather have signed a group of guys to 1 year deals and kept max flexibility if I were Portland, but trust me, I am so happy with how their offseason is going. Can't wait to see them competing for ping pong balls
