JJ Watt strikes me as a self important a-hole. This story doesn't annoy me as much as him trying to police Zach Mettenberger's social media practices.

Of course it's fake, unless all bands put down tumbling mats in the middle of the stage and don't react at all if someone runs up on stage.
Kind of a non-starter for me. Crowd seemed to like it. I'm guessing JJ was there and they added this to the show for fun, since it was a ZBB show at Summerfest in Milwaukee.

There is nothing that shows that this is fake from that video, imo.
Ok, great take on your part.

JJ Watt attended the Zac Brown Band concert at Milwaukee’s Summerfest on Sunday. Some guy jumped onstage and started dancing, and Watt made a B-Line to spear his arse. It’s almost certain that this takedown was orchestrated for viral purposes, but that doesn’t stop us from sharing pro wrestling videos, so why not pass this along as well?

watt posted this on social media himself, so I'd say he's likely seeking attention
Of course he did.
Between this, TBTs of a post-game thigh bruise, and his photo shoot with Katy Perry, he's such a social media attention whore, which is funny considering his comments about Mettenberger.
And I say that as someone who hates LSU/Mettenberger.

This board hates him because of the selfie thing with Mettenberger.
That's where it all comes from.
Before that, this board liked JJ Watt.
Meh, it's been a collection of things for me. As am a fan of a rival SEC school and have no dog in the AFC South fight, I'm completely objective, but I thought the Mettenberger comments were pretty stupid. Plus, he's a colossal hypocrite because a few weeks later he was doing a photo shoot with Katy freaking Perry and is constantly posting stuff on Twitter and Instagram. It's one thing if you're some old timer veteran who doesn't have a social media account, but it's another if you live on social media.
Also, the cabin thing was extremely stupid. He worked hard to craft this Paul Bunyan persona, lied, and got called on it. What's worse is that he didn't even own up to it -- he just tried to change the subject and be like "durr I work hard and am blessed to live there."
Stuff like this reminds me of the story David Letterman tells about how Jay Leno used to (and probably still does) drive around L.A. with a camera crew looking for people with flat tires and would help them change their tires while the camera crew snapped away, and those pics would be "leaked" to the tabloids to show what a great guy he was. Something tells me Watt is cut from the same cloth.

So he flattened a guy half his size in the middle of dancing like an idiot... What a bad arse.

Wtf is going on in this thread I posted this earlier it says in the article it was staged. I had no idea the msb had such a hard on for Watt. dudes the smartest hard hitting defensive player in the league. Shows alot about attitudes towards black/white players. We obviously like our guys either behind on child support and beating up women or doing mission work in Haiti. tough crowd
Posted on 6/29/15 at 5:58 pm to Chef Leppard
Oh wait. white guys doing mission work is too douchey too
Posted on 6/29/15 at 6:10 pm to Chef Leppard
Watt wishes he was Gronk

No it doesn't.

Yes it does. If this was von miller or calais campbell yall would shrug it off as his personality. A white brazen NFL guy has to stay in his lane or he's a douche
Posted on 6/29/15 at 6:21 pm to tigerpimpbot
JJ is a loser who just happens to be good at football

Gronk is walking a fine line too. If one woman crys foul everyone will immediately pile on and say they always knew he was an injury prone greaseball that never got caught

The MSB is racist against white players? Seems legit
Posted on 6/29/15 at 6:33 pm to tigerpimpbot
Youre playing semantics. Im saying there's a clear double standard. the antic bar is way lower for an immensely talented white guy
