I agree with your point but not as harshly with your words. I agree the left(including our great president ) loves to use the media to throw their landmark decisions in the faces of the people that oppose them. For the white house to turn on rainbow color lights is just stupid, look I am happy for them but the majority of Americans don't agree. A court decided this not the American people. Much like the president shoving health care down our throats a few years back and Nancy Pelosi basically saying frick you guys if you don't agree with us. I am so fed up with this administration and their antics.

I didn't say you should change anything. I implied that you shouldn't call people names for no reason other than that they're different from you.
If that's so much of a stretch I suggest you go take a shower, set some goals and contemplate how you got to this point in your life.

Just show them all the gay love that occurs in nature between animals and let them know people are slower to accept things because of our agendas.

Homosexuality is unnatural.

"Well, kids... some time ago there was this country called the United States of America that had a document called a Constitution. That Constitution designated certain powers to the national government and the rest to the States. Worked pretty well until the 17th Amendment, which allowed for direct election of Senators, thus completely unteathering the national government from the states.
Over time, the national government continued to expand and encroach on state power. Challenges to this at the Supreme Court were initially successful, but then justices more friendly to national government power were put on the Court. Those Justices ultimately decided that the Constitution was "antiquated" and because they were too impatient to wait for the amendment process, started deciding on their own to change the Constitution by ignoring its text and context.
In doing so, they reduced the states to mere lines on a map and endorsed the takeover of all theretofore recognized state level powers by bastardizing the 14th Amendment's equal protection clause. That's what led to the forced legalization of gay marriage, even though only a handful of states actually voted in favor of it.
But enough about that...how is your sister Brian and her wife the Yorkie doing?"

Duly note and edited. I thought I had all bases covered.

I like how you're making demands of people and yet are still calling them names. I've heard that's an excellent negotiating tactic.
Well, it worked for the one side. Look at the name calling, just in this thread, of those who have a different point of view on gay marriage. Facebook is worse.
The gay marriage crowd should just be happy and go about their business. Nope, victory lap after victory lap and lots of "poor winners attitude" vs let reconcile our differences and move on together.
This country is not in great shape, spiritually (not religion per say but just the stark bitterness toward our fellow citizens), governmental (judicial legislation, expansive executive powers (Bush, Obama, etc)),financially, and monetarily.

Bookmarking this thread to show to my kids when they ask if there actually were rednecks and bible thumpers who were against gay marriage

Please do. I think this is more Roe v Wade than people are making it out to be. Time will tell

In 30 years, when everyone looks back in history with disgust and says "It really took that long for gay marriage to become legal?". How will those who have opposed human rights explain to their children that they were some of the bigots against the movement? Maybe they can ask older relatives/friends who were likely opposed to desegregation in the 60's, perhaps.
They won't. They'll lie to their children.

Don't have children, problem solved.
