LSU was a final 4 team a couple years before Trent, Jones righted the ship, YES, by bringing us back to our delectable self.

I'm positive you have no idea what this means.

Geez, the guy was breaking down players and not coaches.

CJJ is definitely a below avg coach

We don't know what kind of coach the guy will end up being at LSU yet. I fear for the basketball IQ of anyone suggesting JJ was solely responsible for our early departure from last yrs. NCAA tourney.

If JJ's "ceiling" becomes as high as Milee, I will be a very happy LSU fam.

They win more because no one could score off the bounce and Martin and Mickey settle for to many jumpers

I understand that we had some bad losses in the regular season, but we were essentially 1 win away from finishing exactly where most people predicted. Yes, it was an ugly loss to NC state, but I don't think anyone expected an elite 8 or final 4 appearance. Crazy things happen during the tournament. The coaching was disheartening, but it's not like we were a final 4 caliber team that got knocked out early.

During the analysis of Martin, Bilas says Martin played with Jordan Mickey, and I'm surprised they didn't win more.

Oh, so Bilas is telling the truth. Yeh, I agree with Bilas. CJJ is a poor coach.

Damnit to hell, wished we would have fired him season before last so we could have landed Bruce Pearl. Would be nice to have LSU basketball consistently in the Top 10 (would have happened with Bruce Pearl as HC).

I'm sure Rece was waiting to get his dig into LSU, Bama homer!
If he would stop all the jokes for once Rece might get some credibility, Gameday this fall will be pretty bad, at least Fowler was credible.

last I saw, CJJ doesn't shoot, play defense, or shoot free throws. The reasoning for us losing last year was Mickeys laziness and our players not playing to full potential. If our guys played with the energy of Hornsby, no one would have beaten us

This is the argument that's the most absurd.

It's the COACH'S F***ING JOB to get players to play to their full potential, and with energy!!!

By the way, I'm generally happy with Jones, at least from a recruiting perspective, although the performance on the floor is maddeningly inconsistent. And that's on the coach.

He is a fricking jackass. Kentucky had 4 freaking players drafted in the top 13 and could not win it all We had one drafted late in the 1st and one in the 2nd and all of a sudden he is saying he is surprised we did not win more games. Damn the dude is acting like they went 1 and 2 in the draft.

What he should have said is that Trent Johnson ran this basketball program in the fricking ground and Johnny is just starting to get it back where it should be, period end of story!

I think CJJ can reasonably be questioned on some things systemically and strategically, but not recruiting and that's the most important thing. The most important thing is winning.
