Share your wealth, bro.

this concept sounds interesting but I only work out first thing in the morning so it sounds like it'd be useless for me to try to backload towards the end of the day.

The idea is to go into your workout with very little if any carb intake and your post workout meal contain nearly all your carbs for the day. It's backed by science but I have logistical problems with it. I'm not sure the benefits are that much greater than spreading your carbs throughout the day.

1. Lift Heavy.. ALL THE TIME
2. Don't exceed 45 minutes per workout
3. Eat a protein heavy diet: 50/35/15 P/C/F
4. Avoid carbs from bread: Fruit & Veggies only
5. Drink shitloads of water.
6. You will look like 200lbs of hard dick in no time.

That's what I follow pretty much in a nutshell. I wake around 5am and don't eat till around lunch. I have a very physical job that has me moving around a lot during this time so I'm getting a form of low intensity steady state cardio in a fasted state. I'm an endo-mesomorph so I hold muscle tissue very well while dieting. I'll break the fast at lunch with a protein (either chicken or beef or eggs) and a low glycemic carb (usually 1 cup of oatmeal). I'm getting ready for a contest later this year so I'm starting my calories at 2500. Keeping protein at 1 gram per pound of body weight and the rest of calories I break up between fats n carbs evenly. If I feel flat, I bump the carbs and reduce the fat.

I'm lifting heavy, bro.
Increased my carb intake by a lot.
Why no bread? Even Ezekiel Bread?
My diet is more carb than protein. Is that bad?

I'm dropping weight while trying to hold onto my muscle mass. I'm still lifting heavy and my strength has not decreased.
The other day, my breakdown was: 215g Protein, 132g Carbs and 35g Fat. I get most of my carbs from rice and veggies.
I'll up the carb intake in August when I start my next heavy loading phase.

I gotcha. I'm trying to gain mass. I'm at 167 and about 11% bf. I'm trying to gain some serious mass. Goal is to be at 183+.

185 (was 193) and trying to drop to 175 before 8/1 and restarting a new phase.
Most people love the 40/30/30 macro approach: Carbs/Protein/Fat.

Good luck, bro. Can you recommend a mass gainer to me?

I'll keep that in mind.

I wouldn't take more than one serving per day.
Too much and you are putting on the wrong weight.

Mega mass 2000? Really?

Is it bad to take in a pretty small amount of carbs?
I'm a fairly small guy, about 5'9" 150. After my current batch of workouts my muscles are looking pretty good (to me, not to a bodybuilder) and I'm getting pretty trim. My issue, as has been my entire life, is the little area of fat around my hip/lovehandles towards the back. Always been there. I don't care about weight, that's irrelevant to me. Also don't care about trying to really balloon out my muslces either, for my size I like how they look plenty enough. The biggest thing I want to target is just getting rid of that annoying section on my hips.
I know I'm not just gonna do straight cardio, then I'll lose the muscle I've put on. But for me personally, woudlnt' it be better to have a lower carb diet? Right now it's very protein heavy with my carbs I do get coming from green veggies and that's about it.

Nah. However, your daily energy levels can be affected by it.
Best way to lose the excess fat is moderate cardio as soon as you wake in the AM (30-45 min) on an empty stomach and some light cardio in the evening (15-20 min).

He asked for an off the shelf gainer.
The best is something you put together on your own, but a novice could easily screw it up.

Is this like the reverse sear everyone does on a steak?

Yeah that's the biggest thing that people say in regards to low carbs, but I just push through ha.

gotcha. First thing in the morning, around 6:30, is when I exercise. Some days it's muscle building workouts, some days it's cardio. But I always do it fasted. I've heard that helps.
