Heyward continues to mash, 3/4 again today with another HR. Now up to .280 on the year with 7hr and 23rbi.

Stephen Drew now with 11 homers for the Yankees.

On pace to hit over 20 homers in somewhat of a platoon role at 2nd base.

Still a pretty putrid batting average and OBP, though. But he has had some big hits this season.

Astros pitchers just absolutely struggling with command up there in Seattle this weekend. It's starting to get annoying. Velasquez off to a poor start so far 25 pitches and only one out in the 1st and Cruz up with runners on

Nats looked great again today.

Will be extremely interesting to see Strasburg on Tuesday. He's gone from number one to number four, and now Joe Ross looks like a future all star coming for that spot.

Need to avoid the sweep here for sure!

Baltimore with 3 runs in extras. Looks like they'll get out of Toronto with a series win. Toronto's first losing series of the month.

Dexter Fowler with a grand slam for the Cubbies in Minny!

Boston takes 2 of 3 from the American League All-Stars on the road, including a huge blowout win today.

DJ Lemaheiu really wants that Gold Glove. Just stole a run from the Brewers.

I hope the best for Heyward, but that was a great trade on the Braves part.

For real?

Greg's on base is like under .300.

And Cano is leading the AL in doubles this month.

I'm aware but noting that if Stras continues to pitch like a highly negative WAR player and the East remains tight toward the end of the season, DC sports radio is going to have a good time. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

Shout out to Rizzo for that Ross+Turner / Souza Jr / Myers deal regardless.

Stras has to start pitching better. What is going on? There was no big velocity drop, right?

Allegedly its mechanical, stemming from a series of minor injuries dating back to early Spring Training. We'll find out on Tuesday when he takes the mound, but all accounts are that his rehab start and bullpen sessions have gone well. Of course they said the same thing before his last start pre-DL, and that was disastrous.
