Hypothetically lets say you had the option of choosing between a team where you can slect any two players in the league and build around them starting this off-season moving forward. Obviously there are many different things to consider: supporting cast, bench, coach, market, but setting those aside and strictly picking any two. Who would you go with, to build a team from there with.
It was just a friendly argument between a friend and I,
My tandem
Lebron/AD
His tandem
Steph/Lebron
One player that really came into the discussion that made it even tougher was KD. Because of the unknown neither would say he was a definite choice, but out of
KD/Lebron
KD/AD
These two are both very interesting. There are for sure plenty of other players that you can mix and match and say if you put the right pieces around these two because they complement each other so well, it could be just as good as our two tandems listed. As I brought up with guys like Marc Gasol, CP3, and Carmelo.

Thx for the response, I know it was in the title, but more about the players and how the complement each other, than the statistics.
Just thought it was worth posting

As 1A and 1B, just an equal tie.
I know it is a hard choice because obviously who they have around them and the coach would make the difference.

I kind of like a LeBron\Klay Thompson duo.
Lebron can be the primary ball handler and thompson is an elite defender and a great spot up shooter and good without the ball in his hands

The guy with the Django avatar agrees with what Dr. Shultz says

He will forvever get the KD/Harden relationship, just because of the way he plays, but I agree he is a superstar now. When Thompson was a WASU many had no idea who he was because his college team, when I saw him come to LSU, you could see then he would be special.
My argument with my buddy the whole time was this, Lebron can be your primary ball handler on one end, and can guard 1-4, he can guard a true center if he had too because he is that athletic, but in reality that will not and should not happen.
The main reason I chose Lebron over Curry, is his ability still right now as the best in the game at making those around him better, and hiding the deficiencies of his teammates. I still would choose AD over anybody to build around, and not saying that as a Pels fan.

If you're just going strictly off fantasy scoring it would be AD and Harden or Westbrook. Probably Harden because he's more durable.

I'd go Curry and AD. Start with a point and a big.
