When will it be announced? I am looking to get tickets and making travel plans. I am guessing we will be the 7 pm game but that's just a guess.

Until the field is set we have no idea. All we know is that it will be on Sunday.

Not all the teams are set, so they're probably waiting on that. If I had to bet, I'd say we get the 7:00 game as well, but I don't know for sure.

My parents are going and we were disusing this today. I would bet they get the early game. Vandy is playing later and they are the defending champs. Obviously you cant buy tickets based on this, but thats my hunch.

That's what I am thinking. We are the highest seed in the field. If Texas A$M wins I would all but guarantee it.

They typically do the top billed game as the evening game. Since Florida and Miami are seeds and AR and Virginia aren't, that should be the late game.

I would have to imagine we are the top game on Sunday no matter what the other game is or which team we play.

LSU got record numbers for baseball on WatchESPN. They are a brand name and LSU fans will pack the stadium and watch everywhere.

If ESPN has a say in it, we will get the primetime game.

Vanderbilt might be the defending champs, but they don't pull LSU numbers on TV. And that's how ESPN looks at it.

It's all about TV viewership.

While you can argue that LSU pulls in high numbers, it will also be more of a regional match-up with LSU and a Texas school. The other bracket game could potentially pull from two parts of the US with Nashville and California.

ETA: Nevermind, I don't know what I'm talking about.

Dandy Don said we get either the 2 or 7 p.m. game. Have no idea where he got that info though.

Those are the only two timeslots on Sunday.

We play Sunday and those are the only two slots for that day. It isn't a big revelation. I was wondering if we would play at 2 or 7. I am hoping for 7 pm.

Los Angeles doesn't give two shits about Fullerton baseball, and if it turns out to be Louisville and Nashville, they're closer in proximity than Baton Rouge and College Station.

my experience is that you will get better, cheaper tickets once you get to Omaha, contrary to what you see posted here LSU is not the nations darlings in Omaha(not a slam,) some people just don't have interest in watching anyone other than their team

Florida was the 2 seed last year. They didn't even make it out their regional.

reminds me of our last outing in Omaha against UCLA, they were well represented by their fans, they even had enough to mock and drown out our "LSU" cheer, by chanting "LA Blue!"

I think he is implying that just because the team is from California doesnt mean they will draw a TV audience.

Wrong. We're not talking about UCLA. We're talking about a Big West team from Orange County.

EDIT: I meant "right"

I gotcha, it just reminded me of that, at the time it wasn't so funny though, it was a bit humiliating
