When I was in high school he trained our QB, I would go out and run routes for them. Hodson has a cannon...those balls were hard to catch

Don't fool yourself Tommy was one of the best all around athletes to ever come through here. Dude was a stud QB, baseball player and basketball player. Hell I am sure he even did track, tennis and golf.

He could throw.

Don't ask me how I remember this, because even I don't know. If I am not mistaken Hodson would have likely saw some playing time his true freshman year of 1985. If not for having to have surgery on the ulnar nerve in his throwing arm that he injured lifting weights the summer before his freshman year. He ended up redshirting and was the starter as a RS freshman.

Nope , saw him make a hole in one at a golf tournament and win a car ..

Do you realize that players are much bigger now than what they were in the 80s?
Evolution + Technology = Huge football players

Davis was super talented but was not highly recruited. Maybe my favorite LSU receiver.
Wonder what Hodson would have been like with Beckham and Landry.

Maybe the Ruston Rifle slipped your mind.

He would not have beaten out Wickersham in 85. He came out of high school weighing 165. By the time he left he was about 220.

I think he did have a Beckham on his team. Hodson is definitely up there with the greats. Higher than Wickersham. Watching those old games it's weird hearing the band keep going thru the play.
