its safe because y'all live in nice, affluent areas, but that is the case for almost every city

and I'm not some Nashville hater, it is on the shortlist of places that me and the wife have considered moving to, I just had to point out that it isn't some safe haven and has its own share of problems

and before CAD jumps on me, I'm talking about Nashville, not the burbs

read my post. i ride my bike from the boonies to downtown all the time and there's nothing remotely sketchy.

The nice affluent areas are the only areas anyone ever sees because the other areas are hidden in tiny pockets away from anything you'll ever want to see. Its extremely segregated (not racially, crime wise).

New Orleans is built like a checkboard of good and bad areas. There is never a reason to go anywhere anything close to "bad". It basically doesn't exist.

And that link you posted doesn't seem to hold up well against almost every other link.
