It's not JUST movie. Dinner first and then it's not like it's as quiet as a movie theater. It's on a field somewhere in city park and there's a live band playing an original score to the silent movie.

First, if I go to a movie on the first date, there probably won't be a second one. A movie outside in a field in the humidity is even worse.

Do what Glass said.

One of the best "movies" I've ever seen was a black and white film with a professional symphony orchestra providing the musical score...I believe it was a Kurosawa film and it was better than any movie theater. An awesome experience.

HOWEVER...I'm with the consensus that it wouldn't make for a good first date.

I know it's not near your intended venue, but I'll throw Duang Tawan into the mix. I've always felt relaxed there and not rushed, it's never overly noisy or busy and they have decent food. I agree with the small plates that have been mentioned. Get an appetizer or two and share an entree. Would be a good place for conversation and drinks imo.
