Kickoff for LSU-Auburn set for CBS 2:30

@LSUBonnette: CBS to televise @LSUfball game against Auburn on Sept. 19. Kickoff at 2:30 p.m. in Tiger Stadium. It's the Gold Game for #LSU.

How the hell is that kickoff time being released so soon? I don't ever recall CBS making a decision so far before the start of the season.
Also, I'm really pissed off that we have to play Auburn at home during the day for only the second time in 15 years.

Does seem early for tv announcements. Maybe it's the only game remotely worthy of the CBS game that week?

Yea it sucks. I had a feeling after we got all night games last year tho.
Also, 2011 was the last time, and we went to the NC that year. Let's make it happen again.

Don't they get to protect some games each year?
Also, while I think our Saturday tradition helped a bit last year, it had a lot more to do with favorable matchups for night games and the new ESPN contract

Yeah, we caught a big break last year with all the night games. You can't realistically expect that to happen every year, especially with the CBS 2:30 game getting first pick most weeks.
