My mom said he caught one about 9.5 lbs. around our dock on Toledo bend. I am trying to get pics.

Have a down vote for now
Maybe you might get an upvote with pictures depending on how the hoist is.

His last hoist was pimp, so I hope this one will rival it.

Whelp, never mind. My mom must be high because it appears smaller than the last one I posted.

Post it. No one cares it's not as good as the last one.

The head seems big but the body looks spawned out. Sorry for the disappointment. I am thinking more like 5-6 lbs. at most.

He's not 9.5 but still a nice fish

That looks about right. Still a very nice fish. I'd take that any day.

Thanks guys. I was gonna try to take the family up there this weekend, but the weather looks shitty.

Screw the weather. I'm sick of waiting for it to get better.

I lost a 7 or 8 pounder right at the boat not for from there yesterday morning on a hollow body frog. Still don't understand how it came off. Heavy rod, 65 pound braid, it jumped twice, once not 4 feet from me and I could see the frog in the roof of its mouth. Went under the boat, I leaned down to pick up the net and the line went slack.

65 pound braid,
Holy crap....is that typical?
I use 40# (20-25 lb fish) for fall salmon and 20# (8-15 lb fish) for springers.

For frogs it is. Got to realize how thick the shite is people chunk a frog into

Ok, I'm not a bass fisherman so I have no idea.

Yeah I always use 65 pound for frogs and punching grass. Gotta be able to drag em out of the grass!

I'll use this as the dad brag thread, since I can't catch anything over 5 pounds.
