I am going to go with a Liberty Franklin 50 or the colonial 50. The Franklin has 1.25" bolts the colonial has 1".

Bolt size is mostly marketing.
It is what's behind the bolts that counts.

What would you tell me to buy if I had a budget of $1,000-$1,500?

I can't recommend a specific brand, only provide some info on what to look for. On many popular brands you will be spending money on fancy paint, handles, carpeting instead of additional steel, which is what you need for security.
Read the link I posted earlier if you haven't done so, and then find the safe with the most steel you can afford, whatever that model might be. Don't be scared to go the used route either.

Mike Ward's Liberty Safes have a demo safe that some thugPOS tried to break into. They could not get into the safe (it looks tore to hell and back), and so they moved on. They even replaced it with a brand new one.
ETA: That's where I got my fatboy from.

LINK
This looks like the one I like. I would want it to be anchored or wielded down

He was just double checking...making sure there were no new developments in the heavy as shite steel box world.

I would imagine you get what you pay for. It looks mighty small, no way that would be enough room for me. I would save up and get one that you'll be happy with in the long run.
Bowies puts their leftover stock on sale every year. Last year they had 10+ safes all 25% off. They pretty much had something in most price ranges.
They carry Browning, fwiw.

Somebody told me to look at Tractor Supply but I'm unimpressed really with their lower end stuff.

Get what you pay for. But in all honesty, if you bolt that thing down in a corner, it probably deters most criminals.
A lot of it probably has to do with what you plan on putting in there. If it's $2k worth of guns, does it make sense to spend $2k on a safe... maybe not. If you have $50k worth of guns, jewelry and heirlooms it probably makes more sense to dig a little deeper and get a better quality safe.
I went with the lower tier Browning. It's 700 lbs and doesn't have that high of a fire rating. I wish it was a higher tier, but it is what it is. For roughly the same money, I could either get a larger safe or a better safe. I chose size. I keep all kinds of crap in there. All my ammo, holsters, optics, shooting supplies... It has a ton of room and I am happy with it.
I couldn't live with a small cramped safe, too much shite to put in there.

I built 2 shops and filled them up. I'll fill up a safe also.

Then I would buy something bigger than that tractor supply safe. They only have 10 long guns in there and it's cramped as hell. Personally, I really like the ones that are an extra foot tall. They have an extra shelf and feel way bigger, to me at least.
