I have three. One for points. One with zero APR for 9 more months (paying off some debt). One for emergencies.
In total I have a $30k credit limit.

Three. Two are lowes and home depot, which I only use sparingly so they hardly count.
I really only use my one travel points card and pay my balance twice per month.
As an aside, I've never paid a dime of interest but my bank has paid for a full vacation of mine and I'm working on my next one.
eta: total credit limit under 20k

6 cards pay off every month. Use one regularly and rotate the rest.

3.
42k limit total. Each has it's purpose. Cash back or points. Don't travel enough to have any more. As much as possible goes on them and they get paid off completely every month.

Two and a third on the way. Discover it (rotating rewards, 5 % cash back on selected category), PenFed Rewards Visa (gas) as my primaries, and soon to be USAA American Express for restaurants and grocery stores.

Had to look this up with the new addition. $50K credit limit in total. Never carry a balance.

Don't know about the others, but I know these two carry annual fees (125 and 450 if I remember right)
Any reason why you have both? Do you utilize the point perks enough to justify paying the fees on both and not just having one?
Just curious

Citi AA platinum and gold , US airways, Amex blue cash, and a old card from 2007 that's crap but I've kept open for the age. I've been trying to collect AA miles for a hawaii wedding....have 130k so far.

I've found that I only spend enough for one credit card's benefits rather than multiple. I go with points on my Wells Fargo card and use them to buy gift cards every few months. About the same as cash back except I just have to predetermine where that cash will be spent.

I get reimbursed from work for AMEX annual fee
Spark is company card for company I own so that's paid through it
Free checked bags more than pays for United card fee

I wish there could be an alternative benefit on these cards for those of us who never check bags. I might actually keep the card then.
