You follow this up with every excuse not to go get what you want. A lot of your posts are based on doing what you want, when you want, your way, etc.
Your whore ex dented your courage on the way out. A faint heart never won the fair maiden, etc.
Now, don't you have to go see about a girl?

I dated this girl my junior/senior year of college. She broke up with me prior to last semester, she was planning to move to another state and wanted to start over with a new life. I played it super-cool for about two months, because I knew all the right moves to get her back. Took other girls on dates, etc. I got real close to getting her back, but started freaking out. I wrote her this long letter telling her it was a terrible idea to try and start over. She didn't respond well, and I got more desparate. We ended up hooking up the weekend before graduation, which only solidified the "one that got away" status. She moved to North Carolina and we drifted apart fully pretty quick. Still think about her.
Tl;dr, but was fun to type out and think about. I have a true one that got away story.

I've found someone with whom I'm very compatible, so it all worked for the best.

Where in NC? I'll be there next week, be happy to see how she is doing.

She was smart, no OT 9+ but a good looking girl, funny as hell, great personality, that smile when I was being a douche, her hair, and the way she smelled, the voice that always made me stop and listen, the lazy days we did nothing but still had a blast - and I've luckily been with some really wonderful women since and it's been a long time, but man she still crosses my mind and I wonder. Sometimes, that's life, I guess.

I was seeing this girl that was an exchange student. I still love her, she was everything I wanted in a chick, but wasn't american, which makes it even better because she wasn't raised to be some crazy bitch. Well her visa ran out. I thought about just marrying her, but I was too young. Big mistake. We still Facebook each other and Skype maybe once every 3 or 4 months. But I will most likely never see her again in person. The worst part is the feelings are mutual and she also wishes she just never left and stayed here illegally if that's what it took.
